Lukáš Janoštín grew up in Orava, in the village of Zuberec, within the picturesque setting of the Orava Village Museum open-air site. He has taken part in several national violin competitions and courses, achieving top placements; among the most notable is Schneider's Trnava, where he was awarded a gold band distinction. He is currently studying violin at the Prague Conservatory under the guidance of Mgr. Pavel Kudelásek. He also serves as primáš (lead violinist) of the folklore ensemble Rosénka, which operates under the auspices of the Dejvice Theatre. In his free time, he devotes himself to playing traditional folk instruments and to folk dances from the Orava region.
